This was a fun project. The client was looking for something in my style and not totally representational and that fit me. The Road Runner is representational to a point but I have added much more color. The client suggested Ocotillo cactus and that really helped the composition. I had a great working relationship with the client on this. He made some good suggestions that I incorporated into the design.

A Colorado native and long-time Fort Collins resident, Bob's painting style reflects his Western Heritage yet is uniquely his own. He strives for an image that is unusual and that brings pleasure in the doing as well as in the viewing. His work is often stylized, often whimsical, always colorful and strong in design and composition. Animals, landscapes, people, history and mythology provide him a wealth of subject matter. He also produces images that are purely abstract or non-objective in nature. He works with a color palette reminiscent of the Fauvist movement and often combines both realism and abstraction in one piece.
