Artist's Description
This was a fun painting in that I tried some things that I have not done before which is, I think, why a lot of us do what we do. To explore a new approach. I paint in acrylic but in this case I used more built up washes than I usually do. Using spots of blue and lavendar in the shadows areas was pleasing for me to try. This was a commissioned piece and I think that I replicated the cat pretty faithfully. The client was very pleased.
