Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. This is breaking out of my comfort zone a little. I have been doing metal sculpture for some time and enjoy immensely. This piece is using found materials and junk mostly, designing an image as I go, from materials that I have found and collected over the years. This piece is mounted on 3/4" plywood, edges painted black. Have been doing a lot of these lately and will be posting more. Sometimes I work in 2D and sometimes in 3D as a stand alone sculpture.
